The way in which the fabric was created for this dress from Oscar de la Renta\'s Fall 2012 Collection is remarkable: it\'s actually more of an assemblage than a fabric, per se. Underneath the strips and stripes that you see in the photos is a sheer black chiffon shell to which are attached raw strips of red and black chiffon and strips of white leather. This assemblage is enhanced with little bits of black yarn and white crochet, strips of tiny back paillettes, and black bugle beads, all of which comprise a most unusual \"fabric.\" For all it\'s uniqueness, the dress itself is a classic pencil dress, sleeveless, with a defined waist, a zipper closure, and a black silk lining.
