How it’s measured:

Most fabrics have some give and flex, so the measurements can vary by up to several inches between methods of measuring! We try our best to lay garments flat, and may gently tug and then release fabrics to straighten seams and make sure the garments are not wrinkled or seized up along the measurement line. All measurements are from the OUTSIDE of the garment.We generally round to the nearest 1/4 inch unless otherwise specified.

When waistbands or cuffs are curved, we attempt to straighten out the curve on the smaller side before measuring. Measurements from the back of the neck start just below the collar, unless otherwise specified. The measurement across the shoulders is a straight line from the top of one sleeve seam to the other and does not follow the slant of the shoulders.
