Rare vintage Glover “Lazy Sones” long sleeve shirt, believed to date to approximately the 1940s–1950s.
A very unusual early piece with a button-front Henley-style neckline and long sleeves. The construction and styling suggest it may have originally been marketed as a lounging, pajama, or cold-weather undergarment. Glover is known for early/mid-century garments, including vintage rayon shirts, but examples from this particular line appear to be extremely difficult to find.
Especially desirable is the size. It measures approximately 22” pit to pit x 25” long, making it roughly comparable to a modern Large and considerably bigger than many surviving garments from this era.
This came from the same estate/collection as several exceptional WWII-era garments dating to the 1940s, including P-41 and P-43 military pieces.
Measurements:
Pit to pit: 22”
Length: 25”
Please review all photos carefully for condition, construction, label details, and any age-related wear. This is a genuinely old vintage garment and is being sold as found.
A scarce and unusual piece of early American clothing that would fit nicely in a collection of 1940s workwear, underwear, sportswear, military-era clothing, or early casual apparel.
