Vintage Early 1950s Royal Blue Satin Cocktail Dress – Full Bubble Skirt – Size X For Sale

This gorgeous royal blue satin cocktail dress is a wonderful example of early 1950s fashion! It belonged to my mother, who wore it for evenings out to dinner, and it has been beautifully preserved for more than 70 years.

The dress features a flattering scoop neckline, delicate cap sleeves, and a fitted bodice that gives way to a wonderfully full, gathered skirt. A large satin flower at the center of the waist adds a particularly lovely feminine touch. Beneath the skirt, layers of crinoline netting create the dramatic fullness and softly rounded, bubble-like silhouette that makes this dress so special.

The rich royal blue satin has a beautiful sheen, making this a real showstopper! Although originally worn as a cocktail or dinner dress, it would be equally lovely for a vintage-themed prom, wedding, special occasion, or even as a unique maid-of-honor dress.

Please note that this dress is exceptionally small!It has no manufacturer\'s label or size tag, but based on its measurements, we estimate it to be approximately a modern size 00 or XXS. In fact, it was too small to zip completely on our mannequin, although the back zipper itself works perfectly.

The skirt falls just below the knee, depending on the wearer\'s were taken with the dress laid flat and doubled for the bust, waist, and hem.
