Vintage 1950s Yellow Sequins Paramount Skirt Actress Helen Silvers \"I Love Lucy\"Helen Silvers was an American actress who also served in the Navy Waves (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services) during WWII. A true epitome of glamour and strength!She had uncredited roles in the films Stars and Stripes Forever (1952) & Rainbow Round\' My Shoulder (1952).Helen\'s most notable role was as a guest star in the iconic American series \"I Love Lucy\" where she played Rosemary - a beautiful dancer at Ricky\'s club in S1, Episode 10 \"Lucy Is Jealous of Girl Singer\" (1951).What starts as a simple misunderstanding with a black piece of fabric quickly turns into to Lucy going undercover at the Tropicana Club to see just what is going on.Helen is the main act - and performs the sensual number \"Jezebel\" with Ricky, much to Lucy\'s chagrin. Suspecting an affair, chaos between Lucy and Rosemary (Helen Silvers) ensues.⭐️Please note: This skirt was NOT worn in the episode, but was worn by Helen Silver for another picture (unknown).The Good Stuff: This skirt features a sturdy cotton canvas waistband (no stretch), a fun golden yellow & mustard diagonal lattice print, and many hand glued yellow sequins. It closes with a series of hook and eye clasps + snaps at the back, along with 2 attached Paramount paper tags with California zipcodes. A beautiful, shiny lemon yellow taffeta lines the interior. A Paramount label is present on the interior with \"Helen Silver\" handwritten on it. A Navy stamp with \"Paramount Pic Inc. Shoulder Straps: inchesCondition: Overall GOOD vintage condition. There is normal age related wear to the skirt including some fading on the straps and minor shedding sequins. Some of the stitching on the waist band is noticeable + there is a small black mark on waist near back closure.
This garment has not been cleaned nor altered in any way. It does have the scent of an old piece of clothing (which collectors of antique clothing will be very familiar with).
