Vintage 1940s Jeweled Compact Purse Brocade Evening Bag Vanity Clutch Mirror For Sale

Absolutely stunning vintage vanity evening purse dating approximately to the 1940s–1950s era.

This little evening bag features a metallic floral brocade body with gathered detailing, gold-tone metal frame and chain handle, and an incredibly ornate built-in compact.

The round compact lid is decorated with elaborate raised floral and scrollwork designs accented by multicolor rhinestones, including a large deep pink/red center stone. Lift the decorative lid to reveal a mirror and interior powder compact compartment. The purse itself opens separately to reveal a champagne satin-lined interior with small pocket.

A wonderful example of mid-century glamour and an incredible display piece for a collection of vintage handbags, compacts, vanity accessories or evening wear.

No maker's name or markings were found, so the manufacturer is unknown.

Measures approximately 7.5" x 6".
