Rare Vintage 1978 Levis Orange Tab 522 0217 Saddleman Flare Jean Dark Wash 28x27 For Sale

Up for sale is an incredibly rare pair of vintage Levi's Orange Tab bootcut/flare jeans, manufactured in November 1978 (Factory Code 347, Hong Kong). This is a highly collectible Euro/international market pair featuring the iconic square-bottom western pockets, a genuine Levi's branded zipper, and the multi-language paper care tag.
Made from Levi's historic rigid cotton denim, these feature a stunning, deep dark indigo wash with gorgeous natural lap whiskers and front crease lines. They have a beautiful high-waisted, contouring silhouette that opens up into a dramatic retro flare leg.
Condition: Good vintage condition with incredible dark indigo color remaining. Please note two vintage alterations/wear points:
1. They have been professionally hemmed to a 27" inseam using matching tonal thread.
2. There is visible fabric thinning and mild fraying directly on the rear crotch seam (see close-up photo). The denim is still holding together but has thinned from natural wear. Sold as-is.
