I bought this to try and stand out during presentations, as everybody else uses red and green lasers. The match-lighting ability was a perk. I did light some matches after some practice, which makes me feel like a Sith lord, but really has no utility after the excitement passes. I am afraid to use it in presentations now, for fear it will burn holes in the screen. Also, if I use it for a while (pointing at the wall/ground), my eyes quickly lose the ability to focus on it. I try to focus on the dot, but my vision goes blurry. You have the ability to focus the beam, but it will not make a concentrated dot further than a foot away. If you try more than a few feet away, the best you can get is a tight circle of purple dots and one central purple dot. Cool novelty toy. Looks awesome at night, as you can see the entire beam. Don't shine it on your skin for too long.Read full review

I received this product very quickly, charger is a bit obnoxious which was easily fixed with some tape until a new charger came in. Battery is generic, but works as well as any other battery. As for the laser I absolutely LOVED it. Emphasis on the past tense of love. About a week into using this amazing laser shining it up into the sky to point out stars but once I went back inside and sat on the couch it fell out of my pocket and rolled about 2 feet downwards to the floor and is more of a dull flashlight now. Trying to refocus the laser just doesn't work. I would love yo give this 5 stars but its hard to believe in the quality when one 2 foot drop kills it.

Light is bright and reasonably wide beam. Focusing is not too cool though - It basically brings the CREE lamp into focus, like a projector - Doesn't seem to increase the brightness or range either. It should have some sort of diffuser to blend the light. This is my only complaint - For me, doesn't really matter, as I was not looking for the focusing feature, but you may think otherwise. Seems really sturdy though, and I like the charger that plugs into the light - My other lights require removal of the battery to charge it. I wanted to also be able to use this on AA or AAA batteries, but bought this one since I had a battery pack I thought would work. It needed a shim for sizing, but other than that works fine, and saved me a few bucks. All-in-all this light is as I expected - A really great deal for the money and performs as anticipated.Read full review

This laser is worth the price, super cheap and bright, fast charging, I would have given it five stars but the focus is cheap plastic so it wiggles, but nothing a little tape won't fix. If your trying to burn stuff this only lit two match sticks and I tried to light allot of stuff. Don't buy it with the intent of taking it apart to modify it or otherwise, the laser lens is pressed into the casing and the circuits can't be removed without destroying the whole thing. If you just want to get a blue laser to point at stuff this is the one, it's inexpensive and of good quality.

Yes, technically it's a laser and yes, technically you can "zoom" it, but in reality, the whole notion that it can burn paper or matches is not really true. Well, it was true for about four minutes before it just stopped. The laser works, but it now doesn't burn at all. The "zoom" feature is just a loosely threaded screw with a cheap lens at the end. The focus is terribly inaccurate and the amount of slack between the threads of the lens and the body of the laser itself is laughable, and is the opposite of "laser precision". You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning while holding a Powerball ticket than getting this thing to focus well enough to burn something. If you want to put a purple-ish dot somewhere, this will do the job, if you want to burn things with a purple-ish dot, this is probably not what you want. Read full review
