I look forward to adding this ship to my collection of WW II historic ships. Smallest of North Carolina, South Dakota and Iowa class BB's. I love the split hull feature -- makes building, painting easier in many ways, even if you don't choose the waterline option. My only complaint is that the kit does not seem to include splinter shields for the 20mm guns. I hate the little things, but their absence will be noticeable. Aftermarket photo etch? Will make a nice model. Especially nice are the 16" guns with open bore and the option to make them elevate (without blast bags) or fixed with blast bags. No need to purchase the metal barrels, in my opinion.

Awesome kit, very detailed with very little flash to remove. Building as a full hull, was having a slight problem aligning hull, but got figured out, prior to gluing together, now trying to decide whether to build as just straight ship with light weathering, or go camoflagued with weathered look? Other then that, very nice representation of the BAMA. Looking forward to assembly.

Too many small parts which are hard to handle and are easily lost. Many of these small parts could have been molded on instead of making parts to be glued

Very good product. Packaged well to protect delicate parts.

Needs some after market kits for various items, like her 40mm quadruple mounts and Oerlikons, some items are badly shaped according to her booklet of general plans
