A long-time traveler of 20+ years, I bought the 'Sidekick' 18 months ago, prior to a trip. It is small and easily carried in a pant or jacket pocket. It is more comfortable and "carry-able" than a single AA like the Nitecore AA that I carried for years. It is extremely bright with more of a "spill" type of beam, which works well when walking, working, etc. It has plenty of power and will run a very long time without recharging. The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was the stiff on-off switch ... but that's a double-edged sword since weak switches will inevitably turn-on in a pocket or luggage and drain themselves, so this is really a positive point in the favor of the Sidekick. NOW, a real-life survival story ... this light is extremely durable!! While parking and unloading the car, parked by the curb, in the city of Santander, Cantabria - Spain, the Sidekick light, clipped to our car-keys, slipped out of my wifes hand onto the car-seat and then in slow motion off the car door-sill and right into a storm-drain !! After three hours, a visit by the fantastic local fire department fellows, the key-ring and Streamlight Sidekick were RETRIEVED (fished) from deep within a huge, full-of-water, storm drain. The Sidekick was washed off and worked brilliantly, and has remained perfect!!! Also, so did the Ford 'keyfob'!! The light is an EXCELLENT light !!Read full review

I have bought three of these lights now, giving one to my girlfriend and one to my dad. They are awesome lights, and the beam they put out is amazing for such a small package. The form factor is also great, as they are flat and you can put one in your pocket and carry it much easier than a round one. They hold a great charge and you do not have to look at them to use. Just pull it out of your pocket and feel for the flat switch that turns it on. Lastly, the Surefire lanyard is also cool. It stays where you put it, and I got one for my girlfriend's light so she would not have to dig for it in her purse. A hook of her finger and a tug and there it is, right in her hand. Awesome. You will not be disappointed with this light.

I've owned a dozen surefire flashlights over the years include countless of other LED brand Flashlights. For EDC on hi lumens flashlight,I choose Surefire on the outdoor which never let me down. Take a chance on the black Friday sale from Surefire I bought a punch of these surefires sidekicks for use around the house and give some to relatives and friends. With a size of a key fob and a polymer outer strong body(stronger than my 360 lumens Nitecore Tip). It fits on most of our human hands with it size. The power button is somehow hard to push on/off even though it has a firm snub rubber push on off right on the front side above the surefire logo. I think the company did it on purpose to prevent it from accidentally turn on when carry it in your tigh jean like other brand did. Push the button to turn the light on, low(5lumens)45hrs,medium(60lumens)4hrs and hi(300lumens)can be on up to 1h 15min. First turn on,the sidekick will go from low-med-to hi that is the factory setting and you may reverse that setting by first turn the sidekick off, plug the power supply into the outlet then plug the power metal connector to the surefire. You'll see the sidekick flashing(that means it's charging).Press the power button three times from low to hi while the led is flashing to change it to the hi output then wait for five seconds and turn the light off and unplug the sidekick. Then test the light and now you have the 300 lumens comes first and the 5 lumens comes after. Like my other 300 lumens titan this sidekick also has a deep faceted reflector and a wide maxiVison beam which can be shinning up your whole darken room at night without glare to your eyes when sudden on a hi setting in the darkness. It includes in the package a 5 inch micro usb cable for plugin computer charger but I do not need it because it can be charged with my smartphone charger without any problems. It also comes with a little key hooked that you can hook the sidekick to your rings or your jacket. I don't use this little Sidekick hooker not because it's no good but I have lot of all kinds of lanyards around the house like the one on my sidekick. Read full review

This light is really bright (300 lumens), but also has the lower output settings to save the battery. The beam is quite wide, so you get a nice view of your surroundings near you (don’t buy this if you want a long distance focused beam). I bought the first one to make sure I don’t step on moccasins at night. Works perfect.

A different form factor from Surefire for sure. Its a great little light the size of a car alarm fob and very bright on its highest setting. Down side is the lower 2 settings show PWM which is especially noticeable on the lowest setting. The battery is not user replaceable which limits the longevity of this light. Its also pricey, but if you're buying a Surefire, you're used to that. lol
