It's quite bright and cheap + takes regular AA batteries. Measured a current draw of about 1A from a fully charged NiMH battery (about 1.5 watts). It's zoomable. When it's zoomed for max throw, you can see the actual LED chip. It it a Sipik SK68 clone. It has a regular 16mm LED PCB. And a 15mm driver. There is a regular (non synchronous) booster chip, a schottky diode and a few passives. The LED ISN'T a Cree LED, it's probably a LatticeBright LED, it has "LatticeBright" printed on its little aluminum PCB. This can be expected for such a low price though. Also the pill is hollow and thus heat transfer is BAD. Doesn't matter that much for operation AA batteries though. The beam is also bad and had some artifacts, which I removed by removing some stuff near the LED, and also added some thermal paste. To get the pill out, unscrew the part with the lens. There are two indentations in the aluminium pill. Fit some objects here and rotate it (unscrew it), but be warned that on this flashlight, it was tightened really hard. Then just push it out from the movable chassis part. For the price it's OK. Just about what I expected - a zoomable and fairly good looking AA flashlight, with enough power. Considerably more powerful than the crappy incandescent plastic lights sold everywhere, and also cheaper. Build quality is not bad. DON'T expect it to have a true Cree emitter or to last long on 14500 batteries though.Read full review

Well-made great flashlight for the home or car! Very bright! AA alkaline cells last over an hour of continuous use but the front of the light becomes quite warm to the touch. Attractive and easy to find in silver/chrome but black color is better at shedding heat during prolonged use. A great value for a focus-able bright 1 mode flashlight that runs on a SINGLE AA alkaline battery available everywhere!

Flashlight good, cheap, easy to use, consumes little battery power. I buy it as a gift for my friends. Personally, I use the more expensive flashlight.

I have bought many of these. I love them. Super durable, more so than similar flashlights which i have paid upwards of $10 or even more . Fun colors. Great that it only needs one AA battery to operate.

Works also with AA 1.5 volt batteries. Zooms nicely. Reach, or throw, can be seen at 75 ft distance or more when zoomed. Great for walking the doggies at night. Hold and Zoom with one hand. A really useful flashlight. Fits easily in shirt or pants pocket. Can replace the old obsolete D cell flashlights. If the switch and LED become reliable/lasts a long time it is a great flashlight. Super deal at just a very few dollars US. Delivery took 7-15 days. Acceptable. I own a dozen flashlights and use this one often now. My previous favorite flashlight was a Maglite 3 "D" cell incandescent flashlight. Battery lasts about 1/2 hour, which is acceptable given the small size and powerful light output. Other similars may last longer if they have an optional lower light output setting.
