This is a vintage Revere Ware 12\" Mid Century Round Griddle. I get the best non-stick cooking results by adding oil to a cold griddle, and letting the oil heat up before making pancakes, crepes, and such. Made in the USA, this desirable piece represents Revere Ware at the height of both its design, copper to stainless steel ratios and source materials. Revere began manufacturing these griddles for special order in 1956 and retired them in 1962. This pan, with the desirable \"Process Patent\" mark (itself retired in 1968), is therefore relatively scarce with a much lower inventory than other Revere Ware pieces of this vintage. Revere Ware of this era should have a recessed Maker\'s Mark on the copper base containing a Double Circle surrounding the Revere Ware Logo together with the words \"Process Patent\". The Bakelite handle should have two slotted screws and the handle should enclose two parallel stainless steel splines welded to the pan. This gently used 12\" Griddle comes to you cleaned with Barkeeper\'s Cookware Cleaner. The pan is free from scorching and pitting. The Pan sits flat on a solid surface. The Bakelite handle is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and is black and shiny. Overall, this is a vintage griddle is in \"Very Good Used Condition.\" Blemishes of note: swirling and scratching from use and cleaning.
