This is a vintage A-2 or bomber-style leather jacket purchased new from Structure (now Express Men) in the early 1990s.
The jacket shows wear from use in the usual places, notably the collar and on the left sleeve. The original lining was professionally replaced in the early 2000s, but there are a few tears along the seams as shown. There is a small tear or hole on the back below the right shoulder. The button on the right patch pocket has torn out of the leather, but this is repairable (it has been repaired once before).
That said, this is a warm, comfortable, great-looking jacket. The wear is, I’d say, the kind you\'d expect and even want in a vintage leather jacket. It “shows character,” right? The jacket has been maintained in a clean, nonsmoking, cat-free home (we have dogs, but they don’t get into the coat closet). It has been professionally cleaned and repaired several times in its life. Living in south Texas now, I don’t have much call for it anymore, and it has been largely unworn for the last 5 years.
Thanks for looking.
